Fujifilm's new EXR sensor in the F200 is capable of some fantastic results for what is, still, a pocketable, small-sensor camera. Its huge advantage over all others in its class is that the Fuji has a larger sensor, capable of superb clarity, wide dynamic range, and notably even better low-light performance than its class-leading predecessors such as the F30 and F100fd - both great cameras in their day. Fujifilm digitals have another particular advantage - amazing colour rendition that again transcends all other compact camera brands. Within the F200EXR are also some great Film simulation modes - of Fuji film, naturally - including Provia, Astia & Velvia. Not a compact. Not an SLR. Thankfully somewhere in-between, with possibly the best of both Worlds (mostly!), and - at last - a small camera with genuinely stunning image quality beyond lowest-ISO usage. Results are fine at anything up to ISO1600 so far, and at ISO100, files are not a million miles away from D3 output - but with a fraction of the size & weight. The M.Zuiko 14-42 (ie 28-84mmm equiv) kit lens is super-sharp, and with several more m43 lenses being launched soon, this is a small - some would say 'rangefinder-style' - camera that has expanded usability as the lens ranges from both Olympus & Panasonic grow. But the Big Deal with the E-P1 ? It's the out-of-camera jpeg quality, with superb Olympus colour, metering and tone curves ...no going back.

These DigiTech 'boutique' HardWire pedals - the CM-2 Tube Overdrive and RV-7 Stereo Reverb - are state-of-the-art, with true bypass, cool blue 'ON' LED ...oh, and they sound as good as they look !

Blackstar's HT-5 valve combo really is something special ...fantastic touch response, twin channels (yes, the clean channel is also superb), serious grindage at varying gain levels, ISF control for variable midrange response ...a truly great tone machine for connoisseurs.
